Fort Lauderdale, Florida, December 3, 2018. Templeton Global Income Fund (NYSE: GIM) today announced a monthly distribution from net investment income of $0.0378 per share, payable on December 31, 2018, to shareholders of record on December 17, 2018 (Ex-Dividend Date: December 14, 2018).
The Fund also announced that effective December 31, 2018, Calvin Ho, Ph.D., will join Michael Hasenstab, Ph.D., as a portfolio manager of Templeton Global Income Fund, replacing Sonal Desai, Ph.D. Dr. Ho joined Franklin Templeton Investments in 2005 after obtaining his Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, he is a vice president and deputy director of research for Templeton Global Macro. In this position, he specializes in the global macroeconomic analysis and global exchange rate modeling. Additionally, he has a research focus on selected economies of European, Latin American and African countries. Dr. Ho holds both B.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. His prior research analyzed international monetary arrangements. He is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese. Dr. Hasenstab, who has been a member of the Fund’s management team since 2002, will continue to serve as the lead portfolio manager of the Fund.
