1. Overview

Franklin Templeton Funds and Insights puts FT's approved public fund information and published investment research directly into the advisor's workflow in Claude for Financial Advisors, with official source links, data dates and required disclosures.

Why it matters: When an advisor prepares for a client meeting or researches a fund, Claude can bring in authoritative FT facts, documents and insights alongside information from the advisor's other connected systems.

How it works:

  1. The advisor asks Claude to prepare a meeting brief or research a fund.

  1. Claude gets client context from the advisor's other connected systems and calls the FT connector when FT funds or investment topics come up.

  1. FT returns approved facts, documents and research with source links and dates. The advisor can open the original on the FT website.

The first release has two read-only tools:

  • get_ft_query_funds: fund and share-class information and available public fund documents.

  • get_ft_search_insights: published market, economic and investment-strategy articles.
