Franklin U.S. Large Cap Multifactor Index ETF to become Franklin Core U.S. Enhanced Equity ETF

New York– September 8, 2026 – Franklin Templeton, today announced plans to rename and reposition the Franklin U.S. Large Cap Multifactor Index ETF. The changes will include updates to the Fund’s name, investment goal and principal investment strategies, including its 80% investment policy, to reflect the Fund’s new investment approach as an actively managed portfolio, as well as changes to the Fund’s sub-advisors and portfolio management team.

Effective on or about December 1, 2026, the Fund will be renamed the Franklin Core U.S. Enhanced Equity ETF and will transition from an index-tracking strategy to an actively managed approach with an investment objective to seeking capital appreciation. The Fund’s ticker, fees unified management fee and expenses investment manager will remain unchanged.

In connection with these changes, the Fund will adopt a policy to invest, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its assets in U.S. equity securities replacing its former policy to invest 80% of its assets in an underlying index. Under its new investment approach, the Fund will seek to invest in an enhanced portfolio of U.S. large-cap equity securities, combining a proprietary multi-factor investment process with insights from actively managed U.S. large-cap equity strategies across Franklin Templeton. The Fund will generally invest across both growth and value stocks, providing a core U.S. equity exposure.

Franklin Advisers, Inc. will be engaged as a sub-advisor to the Fund and will provide day-to-day portfolio management for the Fund, with Putnam Investment Management, LLC and ClearBridge Investments, LLC serving as non-discretionary sub-advisors and providing investment research, advice and recommendations.

The Fund will no longer seek to track the LibertyQ U.S. Large Cap Equity Index and will use the S&P 500 Index as its broad-based benchmark following the repositioning.

The changes described herein were approved by the Fund’s Board of Trustees on September 3, 2026. Additional information regarding the Fund’s updated investment objective, principal investment strategies, principal risks and other changes will be available in the Fund’s prospectus and other regulatory filings on or around the effective date.
