Christy Tan is the Managing Director and Investment Strategist for Asia-Pacific (APAC) at the Franklin Templeton Institute. In her leadership role, she spearheads in-house macro and thematic investment research, offering strategic capital markets analysis and long-term investment insights across various asset classes in APAC. The Franklin Templeton Institute stands as an innovative center for research and knowledge sharing, harnessing the firm's global investment expertise and extensive in-house research to deliver unparalleled investment insights to clients. Christy has contributed significant thought leadership through her long-term thematic papers on Food Security, China in Transition, the Corporate Debt Wave, Winds of Change in Fixed Income, and APAC opportunities.
Before assuming her current position, Christy was the Head of Markets Strategy/Research at National Australia Bank. Earlier in her career, she was a Senior Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she was responsible for macroeconomic forecasts and analysis of Asian economies.
Christy holds an MBA from the University of Manchester and a BSc in Economics from the National University of Singapore.
