Elaine Zhu, CFA

Elaine Zhu is a senior investment sustainability analyst and joined the Investment Sustainability Solutions Team (ISST) at Franklin Templeton in February 2022. She is based in Singapore. Her role has a focus on the sustainability reporting, investment stewardship and thematic research in APAC. She also provides regional supports to compliance, investment and distribution teams.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Elaine has 7 years' experience in corporate governance research and was formerly Head of China and Taiwan Research at Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS), leading a research team to deliver proxy voting recommendation reports and market overview reports to institutional investors. She was responsible for the development of ISS' China and Taiwan voting policies, policy training, issuer engagement, client engagement and team management.

Elaine holds a master's degree in Applied Economics from Nanyang Technological University. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). She earned the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing in 2022.
