Emily McCarthy

Emily is a Research Associate at Franklin Venture Partners, the firm’s specialized investment team that invests in private opportunities, focusing on mid- and late-stage companies it believes are poised for transformative impacts across multiple industries.

Emily joined Franklin Templeton in 2023 as a Futures Associate. Before joining Franklin Templeton, Emily worked at StepStone Group on the venture capital team, where she focused on diligence across direct and fund investments. She also worked at Oak Hill Advisors on the credit investment team.

Emily earned a B.B.A. in finance with a minor in real estate from Villanova University and is an alumna of Girls Who Invest. Emily served as Director of Competition for Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, helping lead 5,000 volunteers for the largest student-run Special Olympics event in the world.
