James is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for Templeton Global Investments. He is also a member of the Group's Management Committee.

James has been an active investor in public equities since 1998, focusing on Global Equities since 2003. He manages concentrated, high-conviction strategies, investing across Developed and Emerging Markets.

James began his investment career in 1998 at JP Morgan Investment Management. In 2006, he moved to the Global Equity team at BlackRock. He held various leadership positions on the team from 2012, most recently, heading up the Global Specialist team, focusing on unconstrained long-only funds, and a long-short strategy.

James graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford with a B.A (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics, & Economics. He holds the CFA designation. He is also a member of the Investment Committee for the endowments of both Magdalen College, Oxford, and Wellington College, Berkshire.
