Matthew Cioppa, CFA

Matthew Cioppa is vice president, portfolio manager and research analyst for Franklin Equity Group (FEG). Mr. Cioppa is a co-lead portfolio manager of the Franklin Technology Fund, and he heads FEG's Technology and Communications Research Team, supporting the integration of sector research with FEG's various equity strategies. As a research analyst, Mr. Cioppa covers the IT infrastructure software and cybersecurity industries.

Mr. Cioppa has 16 years of combined experience as an investor and as an operator in the software industry. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2015, he spent time in sell side equity research covering the media and entertainment industry, and at a financial software provider as a consultant and product specialist.

Mr. Cioppa holds a M.B.A from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Finance from Providence College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
