Mel Bucher

Mel Bucher currently serves as the Head of Global Institutional Business at Franklin Equity Group. He spearheads the growth and development of the group's institutional operations, which includes a diverse range of equity strategies in both public and private markets.

Prior to his role at Franklin Equity Group, Mr. Bucher was a key member of the Martin Currie Executive Management Committee and served as the Head of Global Distribution. In this capacity, he managed the firm's largest client relationships and led the expansion of its global institutional business. His extensive institutional expertise was honed at Martin Currie and Baillie Gifford. He began his career in 1994 at Franklin Templeton, where he played a pivotal role in the rapid growth of their European operations.

Mr. Bucher holds FINRA series 7, 24, and 63 licenses, along with the UK Investment Management Certificate (UK SIP).
