Michael Sheehan

Michael Sheehan is a portfolio manager for several Templeton Global Macro strategies. Prior to serving as a portfolio manager Mr. Sheehan was a senior trader for the Templeton Global Macro team, responsible for derivatives and markets strategy and execution across developed, emerging and frontier markets. As a senior member of the portfolio construction and trading team Mr. Sheehan provides quantitative analysis and modeling, with particular emphasis on interest rates, foreign currencies, and sovereign credit markets. As a compliment to his execution and investment experience Mr. Sheehan provides risk management expertise focusing on macro market dynamics and works closely with Franklin Templeton’s independent Investment Risk Management team in the evaluation and monitoring of relevant portfolio risks.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2018, he worked at BlackRock and Bank of America/Merrill Lynch.

He holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Notre Dame.
