Rodney S. Jones

Rodney S. Jones is a Senior Practice Management Consultant at Franklin Templeton Academy who brings more than 25 years of firsthand experience in the financial advisory business into his work with clients. Today, he partners with advisory firms and leadership teams to strengthen leadership, improve team communication, and turn strategic priorities into meaningful action. He delivers workshops, coaching and consulting engagements that help advisors and leadership teams strengthen communication, create accountability, and turn strategic goals into meaningful action. In addition to his work with advisory firms, Rodney is an experienced speaker and facilitator who has presented to corporate, government, and academic audiences.

Having spent more than two decades building client relationships, contributing to business growth, and working within advisory teams, he understands the challenges leaders face beyond theory. Rodney brings a rare combination of firsthand advisor experience, coaching expertise, and practice management consulting to his work with advisory firms.

His background includes financial advising, fee-based advisory services, and managing internal wholesaling teams, providing him with a practical understanding of the challenges firms face as they develop leaders, build high-performing teams, and execute on strategic priorities.

Rodney currently holds FINRA Series 6, 26 and 63 licenses and previously held the Series 65 license. He is also a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and an MBTI® Step I™ and Step II™ certified practitioner.
