Sarah Copren

Sarah Copren is Head of Trading for Franklin Equity. She trades merger arbitrage, distressed debt, and special situations and co-manages a group of six traders who execute equity and derivative trades in the US, Europe and Asia. The group trades foreign currency (FX), cash/treasuries, options, futures, high yield/distressed debt, bank debt, reorganization equity, and merger arbitrage all from their location in Short Hills, New Jersey. She is also a member of the Global Best Execution Committee and the Global Trade Oversight Committee.

Ms. Copren joined Franklin Mutual Series in 2006 as an International Equity and Derivatives Trader and became Co-Head of Trading in 2025. Prior to joining Franklin Mutual Series, Ms. Copren was a sales trader for Lehman Brothers where she focused on special situations including risk arbitrage, equities, options and swaps.

Ms. Copren earned a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
