Steven Kornfeld, CFA

Steven Kornfeld is a vice president, portfolio manager and partner with Franklin Venture Partners. Mr. Kornfeld leads the group's effort in investing in private health care companies.

Previously, Mr. Kornfeld served as public equity investor at Franklin from 2001-2020. He served as the healthcare team leader with research responsibilities in the pharmaceutical, healthcare services and tools & diagnostic sectors., and he served as a co-manager of the Franklin Biotechnology Discovery Fund. Mr. Kornfeld has previously served as a lead and co-manager on several portfolios at Franklin Templeton including the Natural Resources Fund, a predecessor to the Growth Fund, and the Focus Core Equity Fund, which he developed and launched in 2007.

Mr. Kornfeld holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
