Stuart Bateman

Stuart Bateman is a senior vice president of Franklin Templeton Investor Services, LLC (FTIS), a subsidiary of Franklin Resources, Inc. FTIS is a SEC-registered transfer agent and services over 22 million shareholder accounts.

Mr. Bateman joined Franklin Templeton Investments in 1986 as an associate in the transfer agent. Between 1986 and 1996 he was responsible for a variety of different functions within the transfer agent. In 1996, Mr. Bateman was promoted to vice president and was responsible for the Main Office Services and the Investment Advisor Services Divisions. In 2006, he assumed the role of senior vice president, overseeing the Main Office Services Division in Rancho Cordova, San Mateo, CA, and St. Petersburg, FL. In late 2010 he assumed his now current position as senior vice president over the TA Relationship Management Group.

Mr. Bateman is involved with both the Investment Company Institute and the National Investment Company Service Association. He is currently the chairman of the ICI's Broker Dealer Advisory Committee. He has previously been a member of the ICI Operations Committee and was also the chair of the ICI Bank Trust & Recordkeeper Advisory Committee. Mr. Bateman is also involved with the National Investment Company Service Association and is currently a member of the NICSA Annual Conference Planning Committee. He earned his B.S. in political science from Texas A&M University.
