Preyesh Patel

Preyesh Patel is head of Sustainability and Stewardship for Templeton Global Investments and is a member the group's Stewardship and Sustainability Council. He leads the group's Sustainability and Stewardship team and strategy efforts, supporting the investment team in developing best practices for the integration of sustainability and governance issues into the investment decision making process, as well as partnering with the team on engagement and voting activities. In addition he leads on the group's regulatory, reporting, and signatory commitments.

He joined Franklin Templeton’s Sustainability and Stewardship team in 2018 focusing on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, and transitioned to Templeton Global Investments in 2021. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton he was an analyst for responsible investing at T. Rowe Price, providing ESG research support to the investment division. During his tenure at T. Rowe Price, beginning in 2010, he also held roles supporting the firm’s emerging markets equity products in analytical and research capacities, providing ESG support throughout.

Preyesh holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Finance from City, University of London.
