Chuan Wei Ong, CFA

Chuan Wei Ong is vice president of Franklin Templeton Global Private Equity, responsible for deal sourcing, execution and monitoring across Energy Transition and Food and Ag Tech sectors. He is based in Singapore.

Mr. Ong has close to a decade of experience working to source and execute deals for the group's growth private equity strategy. His focus includes companies which enable social inclusion, business sustainability, and more recently in decarbonization technologies. He is also a key member in the development of the group's first impact private equity strategy.

Prior to joining the private equity team, Mr. Ong was part of the Emerging Markets Group within Franklin Templeton, where he was responsible for company-level governance and risk research across the group's entire emerging markets portfolio. Additionally, he also led engagements with the board and management of portfolio companies to drive business value.

Mr. Ong holds a bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from the University of London. Mr. Ong is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
